SHEKINA MOORE’S STYLE AND BRAND AGENCY OF ATLANTA

Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending the Grand Opening of Shekina Moore’s Style and Brand Agency of Atlanta. This sold out event was absolutely amazing!

Her agency is the first of its kind, and Mrs. Moore is truly the queen of all things fabulous. This gorgeous fashionista, took a more intimate route with her grand opening and welcomed her guests into her beautiful office space and studio.

Being one to uplift women, her special guest was Harpo Studios Associate Producer, Brett Jeffries. Jeffries spoke about how important “dressing” is in Corporate America. She also explained how dressing professionally helped her to become an associate producer at Harpo Studios at the young age of 26.

This is what the Style and Brand Agency of Atlanta is all about!

The purpose of the Style and Brand Agency is to be the safe haven for women in the public eye. Whether you’re an attorney, television personality, or radio host, Mrs. Moore has her agency set up to empower who you are through your image. This is so that you can reach your audience and make the right statement at any given time.

Her services include image consulting, color personality testing, style analysis, photo shoots and more! You can also become a VIP member, for a small monthly fee, where you will be able to attend workshops for 50% off, you’ll get 10% off all services offered at the style and brand agency of Atlanta and more!

I was able to speak to Mrs. Moore about her agency, and she told me about her stepping out of her comfort zone and starting her agency in a new city.

At a young age, she was a victim of molestation. After the incident, she became a victim of the rumor mill, where it was said that she brought on her abuse through the way she was “dressed.” However, she refused to become bitter and took control of her own life, and the lives of others by bringing awareness to their image. She promotes positive body image and gives women power through style.

If you took a break from reality television and watched BET’s premiere of one of the original R&B Diva’s, Syleena Johnson’s “Couples Therapy,” you enjoyed a treat.

“Couple’s Therapy, based on her latest album, which shares the title, aired Monday, March 30, 2015. The musical was directed by Tangie B. Moore and stars Syleena and other R&B artists Leela James, who was in attendance, Dave Hollister and Willie Taylor.

Syleena was very excited about her BET premiere; she was all smiles, and a few tears too! For the event, Syleena was surrounded by plenty family members, friends, and a few fans. Hosted at Nancy’s pizza in Midtown Atlanta, there was plenty of food and drinks to celebrate all of the hard work that was put into making this musical as awesome as it was.

Happy Syleena!

Tears of Joy!

Afterwards, it was all about fellowship and showing love. Of course the night wouldn’t have been complete without Syleena showing love for  Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.

The best moment was when I won a copy of the album the movie was named after!! I’ve been jamming to it ever since.

How did you enjoy the premiere of Couple’s Therapy?

EVENT RECAP! CHRISETTE MICHELLE & MARSHA AMBROSIUS “FATHER’S DAY EXPLOSION

Last weekend, I was blessed to cover the father’s day explosion concert headlining Chrisette Michelle and Marsha Ambrosius, in Montgomery, Al. Hosted by Ms. Talesa J. Harris, and Lauren Walker.

Honestly, going into this concert, I was a bit biased. I absolutely love Chrisette Michelle, and I love to see her perform live. To me, her voice is stunning, so you can imagine who I was really there to see. It was beautiful that in the essence of Father’s Day, Chrisette’s father introduced her. It was good to see that father-daughter love. As Chrisette began to sing, she gave an amazing heart-warming performance. When she sings, she speaks to your soul, kind of like Ledisi. She sang some of her classics, like “Blame It On Me” and some of her newer songs like “10 Foot Stilettos.”

This was my first time seeing Marsha Ambrosius perform live, but she has a slew of songs that I am a fan of, dating back to her Floetry days. She sang everything too! From “Getting Late,” “Say Yes,” “Late Nights & Early Mornings,” and my favorite “Hope She Cheats on You.” When Marsha hit the stage she owned it in a different way. It was like girl talk through music. It was good seeing her in her element. She was amazing as she went from singing, to playing her keyboard, to dancing. She truly had fun on stage and her energy flowed throughout the entire room! Honestly, I would love to see Marsha perform again. She gave life in her performance.

Both of these ladies were inspirational in their performances, and those in attendance can co-sign me on that one.

EATING WITH ERICA’S LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Over the weekend, Erica of Eating With Erica hosted a Little Black Dress Brunch at SaltYard in Buckhead. She gathered many women to put on their favorite little black dress, eat and have fun.

We were treated to a four course meal. I had a kale salad, French toast with blueberry pecan maple syrup (homemade), I skipped the third course from being extremely full, and for desert I had the chocolate nemesis. The best part were the bottomless mimosas…what a great evening.

EVENT RECAP: SOMETING LIKE CRAZY WITH TAYLOR CHARISSE

On Monday, April 28, Taylor Charisse launched her new blog, Something Like Crazy, at the Historic M Rich Building, in Downtown Atlanta. Sprite Pour Reporter, Charlotte Rose hosted the event.

Taylor Charisse’s purpose is to help people realize if they are alive or just living, which made this high-end blog launch like none other. With a maxed out guest list, if you are one for living life with no boundaries, a lover of reading, and watching extraordinary video, this event was the place to be.

Taylor Charisse showed a glimpse of her life through video. She did it all, from zip-lining, swimming with dolphins, sky-diving, and enjoying life in different countries. It was simply amazing. She also spoke on being sarcastic, responding to negativity because of her sarcasm, and satire from her blog, as well as opening up to us about her personal life. She works hard! With a full-time job, she still keeps up with her schoolwork,  and still makes time for living her best life.

A launch like this wouldn’t be complete without wonderful sponsors. Lenox Cupcakes came out with mini cupcakes ranging from Red Velvet, Pink Lemonade (my favorite), Chocolate, Carrot and so much more! Miss Jessie’s came with the hair products, Voscato brought the drinks, and there were chocolate covered strawberries and whipped cream to enhance the experience.

Be sure to stay up to date with Taylor Charisse, I am sure there are more things to come that will blow you away. Also, be sure to tune into Erica Dias of The B Firm for more amazing events. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

HEY BADDIES: BADDIE UPDATE!- GIRL TALK LIVE!, HOPE SHELTER & MORE!

Hey Baddies!

Okay, so I know I’ve been Ms. Absentee from the blog lately, but I have been extremely busy. With the first Baddie Girl Talk Live event, giving back to the Hope Shelter, getting the online store ready, and Princess Conversations about to kick off, I’ve been running! And I was never a track star, so you know I’m all out of breath.

Anywhoo, I wanted to give you a quick update to let you know in detail what’s been going on and what I’ve been doing.

So here it goes…

First things first, if you missed the Baddie Girl Talk Live event, you missed a treat. The topics were so awesome that I was asked to start a Baddie Girl Talk Forum, and I did! Also, I announced the Baddie Girl Luxury Bath Collection, which has been doing extremely well for its short début. The Luxury Bath Collection includes Beauty Bars, Body Scrubs, Body Whips and Bath Salts. There are a variety of scents and everything is homemade with no chemicals. All of the products are made for the beautification of your skin. I have some products for the men too! If you can believe it, my first customer was a Caucasian man from Austria! This is good stuff, I promise.

Scrub, body, skiin, care, healthy, glow, sugar, baddie, girl, whips, lotion, beauty bar, soap

Second, at the event, Baddie Girl collected towels for the Hope Shelter located in Hapeville.  I chose this shelter, because I wanted to give back to women, since Baddie Girl is catered to women, so why not? So many towels were collected, and some Black hair care products were donated as well. Upon arrival to the Hope Shelter, I saw that my work there was not done. They were so appreciative of the towels, and didn’t want to ask for anything else. After a nice conversation with their director, I was able to find out what they needed and I was able to supply them with an abundance of things they needed! They were ecstatic. So you know I have some more things in the works…get ready!

Donations

Next, I’ve been putting the finishing touches on Princess Conversations. This is the tween/teen version of Baddie Girl. We’re kicking off at the end of this month!!!! Can you feel the excitement?! Within Princess Convos we have a Princess Academy, which focuses on building self-esteem and self-respect through a series of girl. So, if you know of a young girl between the ages of 10-17 please register them on the Princess Convos website, or send an email to info@princessconvos.com.

Finally! I know I’ve already told you about the Luxury Bath Collection, but there is so much more. Baddie Girl has an online store! I have hand picked a unique collection of earrings, necklaces, and bracelets for the site. There is so much that is coming this is only the beginning.

Shop Baddie

So I’m sure you can tell my absence has not been in vain. I’ll be back in the blogging motion sooner than soon. But keep your eyes out for Baddie Girl, we’re on the move!

Hugs & Love,
Neyara Reed, Head Baddie In Charge
