FALL CLEANING: 4 TYPES OF CLOTHES YOU NEED TO LET GO!

Ladies the time has come!

It’s getting darker earlier, and it’s getting cooler. You’re probably noticing all the spring and summer clothes you’ve worn out and some that you hadn’t worn this summer. So you know what that means…

It’s time to clean out your closet!

I know its hard to get rid of clothes, shoes, and other materialistic pleasures, but don’t fall into the trap of being a hoarder when you should be cleaning out your closet. You don’t have to throw out everything, but you should be updating and revamping your closet at least twice a year. So out with the old, and welcome the new!

Here are the different types of apparel you should be clearing your closet of:

Don’t Fit. If you haven’t been able to fit into clothes for a year, then it’s time to put them in the donation pile. Even if you promised yourself you’ll lose that extra 10 pounds! If it hasn’t happened yet, let that dream defer. It’s okay that you didn’t met your goal, what isn’t okay is you lying to yourself. Also clothes that are too big if you’ve lost weight. Enjoy your current size, don’t worry about if you may gain the weight back. That’s unnecessary stress you’re adding to your life. You look good, so just worry about dressing your current body.
You Know Better. It doesn’t matter how “comfortable,” the clothes may be. You need to ask yourself: do I really need that faded t-shirt that I’m holding on to? Probably not, so get rid of it! Those jeans that are wearing out in the center, but fit you so well can go too. LET THAT SH*T GO! Your body deserves to be dressed in the best clothes that your money can afford.
Damaged Clothing. If you can’t fix it–ditch it! That shirt with the stain you still can’t get out, or that silk dress with the irreparable hole that can’t be fixed, you need to let it go. It can still be new, but if you can’t wear it, then it’s doing you no good.
Old and Smelly. If there are yellow stains in the under arm of your shirts, or your leggings are crumbling in the middle, throw them away. Don’t even pass them on to anyone else. Clothes that have been boxed up so long that they have acquired a smell can also be tossed out. Everything is not meant to be passed down. If you’ve gotten all of the treasure out of your clothes, then it’s just trash, and it’s time to let go.

I know it may be hard, but look on the bright side: you’re making room for the new items you’re getting ready to buy!

You can be a classy baddie with a hint of sexy. Pewter and pink are beautiful together, and this is the perfect time to make black your statement color. A simple black strap heel, with matching jewelry will give you the professional look you desire for giving presentations, or teaching.

Peachy Pie

You can still be sexy while getting your profession on, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! Remember colors are fun, so wear them! Try a darker lip when wearing corals, and peach colors, they enhance your look. And again, why not add a bright blazer to give your wardrobe your personality? Also don’t be afraid to wear a semi-sexy heel to work. Always pair it with jeans or a skirt that goes down to at least your ankle. Get it BADDIE!

Evolution of Smooth is the perfect name! EOS killed the game with this lip balm. You always want to have baby soft lips, and EOS lip balm line is amazing. It smells good, and comes in a cute package. The only other lip balm I would recommend besides EOS is Maybelline New York Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm.

The secret to having soft,hydrated lips is to exfoliate. Just as you exfoliate your face, you want to do the same for lips. This simple exfoliator is easy to use, and works instantly. You will have those kissable lips that you’ve dreamed of.

Learn how to pack your clutch, and choose items that you need. Everything in your purse isn’t essential, so leave the unnecessary behind.

Just as you need the perfect clutch, you also need to pack it right.

Unlike having your ordinary, big, over the shoulder purse that you can fit your entire house in, a clutch is much smaller, so you have to be more selective when packing.

Here are my top 10 items that are a necessity to fill your clutch. I know 10 may seem like a lot for a clutch, and you may not need everything on this list but most of these items are small, and most importantly, they are essentials!

10. Lipgloss/Lipstick:

Reapplication will be necessary in the event of a great night.

9. Powder:

For my oily skin girls, no need for your nose to glow like you’re Rudolph the reindeer. You’re too pretty for that!

8. Compact Mirror:

Bathroom occupied? No problem. You can make sure you’re together whenever, and wherever you want. Don’t forget to check your teeth!

7. Mini Perfume/Body Oil:

Smelling good is essential to being a baddie girl, and it could be a conversation starter with the guy you noticed checking you out from across the room. It is your duty as a woman to ALWAYS smell good!

6. Mints/Gum:

Bad breath is a tragedy. Don’t get caught up in the rapture of everyone dodging you because you ate too many stuffed mushrooms. You should know that fresh breath is a common curtesy.

5. License, Debit Card, Cash & Change:

There isn’t a need for a large bulky wallet, you can easily slide these important cards into a business card holder, or small change purse.

You know you live by your phone, and you know you die a slow death when your phone is on seven percent and you’re enjoying yourself. Don’t torture yourself.

You can grab a small bottle from Bath & Body. Clean hands are always important, and plus you never know when you may need a last minute sanitize.

2. Stain Remover Pen:

Thank God for Tide, because it never fails, you’re laughing, and having fun, and then some sauce hits the front of your amazing outfit. No need to fear if people will judge you and your eating habits, because your stain remover pen is here!

1. Condoms:

I hope this one didn’t scare you. HA! But for those of you who are “active” safe sex is the best sex… You can put them in your change purse with your license and debit card so that it won’t fall out of your purse by accident, because that could be awkward. 🙂

HOW TO ACHIEVE SUN KISSED SKIN

There is a such thing as your perfect bronzer. I’ve noticed with my girlfriends, and close relatives that they often pick a bronzer that is close to their skin tone, because they aren’t really sure what a bronzer does exactly. Bronzers are made to give your skin the perfect sun kissed glow. However, picking the perfect bronzer is just as tedious as finding your perfect foundation.

What I personally love about bronzer is that you can wear it how you want to. If you don’t feel like wearing a full face of make-up, including, primer, foundation, and powder, you can easily wear bronzer alone, and you’ll be glowing all day!

KNOW YOUR SKIN TONE

You have to first know whether you have either fair, medium, olive or dark skin. The perfect bronzer for your skin is usually one to two shades darker. If you have fair skin it’s best to use a honey-colored bronzer. For medium or olive skin its best to use a true bronze. If you have dark skin, it is best to use a deep bronze with a hint of shimmer, this type of bronzer is also perfect for highlighting certain features.

PICK THE RIGHT PRODUCT

When picking out your bronzer, you can choose between a powder, liquid, creme, or gel. For those with dry or normal skin, use a creme or gel bronzer, these types of bronzers add moisture to the skin, and keeps skin looking hydrated and healthy. For those with oily skin, it’s better to use a bronzer powder to help with skin’s oil control. Also, bronzer powder blends easier than all others. If you do decide to wear a liquid bronzer its best to use a slightly damp makeup wedge; however, be sure to watch out for streaking.

APPLICATION IS MOST IMPORTANT

Applying bronzer correctly means having the correct brush. Although a regular blush brush can work just as effectively, there is a small difference between a blush brush and bronzer brush. A bronzer brush has more bristles that are packed tightly together, this helps in applying more color in one swipe. When applying it to your face, create the number “3” on both sides of your face starting at your forehead, and be sure to blend into your neck.

If you want to add a little extra glow, add shimmer underneath your cheekbones and done the bridge of your nose. This will give you an highlighted effect. Perfect for a summer glow.

PINK IS THIS SUMMER’S FLAVOR

Summer begins tomorrow, even though it feels as though summer has been hanging out with us all throughout the spring.

As you know, spring is perfect for bright colors. It’s when you can pull out all of your favorite bold prints, patterns, and everything else that matches what spring blossoms. But unlike the fall, you don’t have to change out those bold colors, prints and patterns for deeper tones just to match the season.

The summer is perfect for much of your spring wardrobe. However, it’s not all about putting on the first bright color you see, it’s all about choosing the perfect color shade. It doesn’t matter whether you decide to go with a warmer or softer shade of your favorite bold colors.

When picking your perfect shade, you have to find those colors that compliment you and your skin tone. There are a few major shades of pink that are in for the 2014 season. Watermelon and Fuchsia are two shades that are considered to be warm shades. The softer shades that are in include powder pink, carnation pink and pink nude.

The awesome thing about finding your perfect shade of pink is that you can accessorize it with just about any color. It doesn’t matter whether you wear a softer shade or a warmer shade, pink will look good with many shades of yellows and greens and will also look amazing with honey, ivory, and lavender this season.

In this week’s Style File I created two different boards that show how pretty pink is with different prints and colors. In the board above, I paired a pretty hot pink skirt with a green, white and gold printed crop top. I brought this look together with green and gold earrings, a hot pink ring, and a honey colored handbag with matching heels.

In the board below, I found this pretty fuchsia Neoprene Flounced dress and matched it with a bold teal and added accents of gold in between. Adding the boldness of teal easily turned this pretty pink dress into a flirty oasis.
